Welcome, Brighid   2 comments

Often, simple is best.

Mantle of Brighid about me,
Memory of Brighid within me,
Protection of Brighid around me
keeping me from harm,
from ignorance, from heartlessness,
this day and night,
from dawn till dark,
from dark till dawn.

— John O’Donohue (adapted), The Four Elements, Transworld Ireland, 2010, pg. 109. (Also available in Random House editions.)

  1. Happy Imbolc!

  2. And to you, Laura! A recent article in the UK’s Guardian says leave the dandelions for the bees — dandelions that will be coming up this month — February! As my U.S. friend said on her Imbolc invitation — come celebrate midwinter — cause it sure as heck isn’t spring yet!

    Blessings of the holy season!
